- LEAK-PROTECTING POWERED ROD: This RV water heater features a titanium rod that prevents corrosion and leakage, addressing common issues in tank water heaters. Unlike traditional magnesium anodes, it safeguards the tank against acidic and alkaline water sources. Additionally, it senses the concentration of calcium and magnesium ions in the water, automatically adjusting the release of electrons to continuously optimize water quality.
- DUAL FUEL, 3-MODE RAPID HEATING: The KINGRVER RV tank water heater offers both a 12,000 BTU propane heating option and a 1,440W electric heating mode. This dual-energy combination provides three versatile modes: gas-only, electric-only, and combined heating. At full power, it heats water twice as fast as traditional tank units, significantly reducing the waiting time for hot water.
- SUPERIOR EFFICIENCY AND ENERGY SAVING: The built-in heating element is surrounded by water within the tank, enhancing thermal conductivity. Insulated with 3-gauge EPDM foam, the RV tank water heater reduces heat loss to under 25% in 24 hours, providing superior insulation compared to other tank-type heaters and reducing energy consumption during periods of non-use.
- CUSTOMIZABLE TEMPERATURE CONTROL: Unlike traditional RV water heaters with fixed temperatures, the HybridShower offers three adjustable settings. Choose a lower temperature in summer to avoid burns and the highest setting in winter for a comforting hot shower. The unit also includes multiple safety features, such as dry burn protection, water pressure protection, and overheat protection.
- EASY UPGRADE: This water heater is designed for effortless installation, compatible with older 10/12-gallon Suburban and Atwood RV models. It retains the 16.5 x 16.5 inches opening size, with 12V DC power for gas heating and 120V AC power for electric heating readily available in most RVs. Yes, it is. Please use 24AWG shielded wire for extension.
Can I install it by myself? What additional accessories do I need to buy?
Installation is easy, just follow the instructions.
There is no need to purchase additional accessories. However, please pay attention to whether the existing gas connector and water pipe connector are suitable.
How to protect against freezing? Is it necessary to use RV antifreeze?
This RV storage water heater will automatically heat up the unit when the water temperature falls below the set temperature under normal turn-on conditions, thus providing some degree of freeze protection, but this will consume energy.
We do not recommend using RV antifreeze inside the tank. Rather, it is recommended that the tank be emptied to prevent damage caused by water freezing in cold temperatures. The specific steps are as follows:
- Turn off the inlet and outlet water ball valves
- Open the TP valve for pressure relief
- Disassemble the magnesium/titanium rod and drain the water inside the water tank through the magnesium/titanium rod joint.
When the tank is completely emptied, the product parts can withstand extreme low temperature environment, will not be damaged due to low temperature.
